Logic Ritual Association

Welcome

In 1881, Freemasons from the 'Theatrical Profession' came together on Sunday mornings to form their own 'instruction' group and practice performing the Craft ceremonies; something they were unable to do on the usual weekday evenings due to the nature of their professions. Their style of 'performing' the ceremonies with passion and feeling was somewhat different to the catechism style of instruction that was prevalent at that time and soon gained much notoriety and support and subsequently a large following.

Having addressed certain, 'Biblical, Grammatical & Logical' inaccuracies that they identified in the ritual,  they began to work the craft ceremonies according to their workings and thus, the 'Logic Club' was formed.

This style of 'performing' the Craft Ceremonies became extremely popular and continues to this day and the Logic Ritual Association are proud to display and promote that ethos across Metropolitan, Provincial and District Lodges.

We hope you enjoy looking through our History, along with our continued innovations to help Logic Lodges and our Ritual thrive.

HISTORY

Ritual Books

In 2011, the Logic Ritual Association Committee decided that due to the decline in Lodges of Instruction, they would produce new Ritual Books with such an extended Rubric, that brethren would know exactly what they should be doing, how to do it and when.

'Lewis Masonic Publishing' called it 'World Class...'

Logic Tracing Boards

Do you get frustrated with having to use 'standard' Tracing Boards for your ceremonies and explanations?

In 1973, The Logic Ritual Association approved the designs of 3 new Tracing Boards that were produced explicitly for lodges that used Logic Workings.

Logic Lodges

There are currently 43 Lodges in the Metropolitan Area as well as other Provincial and District Lodges that are working 'Logic Ritual', that include lodges in Jamaica, Barbados, Guyana and the Eastern Archipelago.

Logic Club & Allied Arts Lodge No.6269

The Logic Ritual Association came to the aid of an ailing lodge and is helping to reinvigorate the lodge, being led by the members of the LRA. The lodge name has been changed to reflect our involvement and we are now trying to build up membership and hold regular LOI's for the lodge.
